 FAQs

  • Depending on whether our lawyers are representing clients in court, or outside of court, lawyer rates vary. As of 2026, our senior associates and partner rates are between $325 and $350 per hour plus HST and our junior associate rates are between $215 and $225 per hour plus HST.

  •  We offer coaching and limited scope services to clients anywhere in Ontario, and even clients outside of Ontario who have cases started in Ontario. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer full representation in court for matters outside of Ottawa.

  • Our lawyers mostly work remotely, primarily meeting clients via Teams videoconference, which allows us to assist clients all over Ontario, and saves our clients from travelling to our downtown office. That said, we can accommodate in-person meetings as well at our office on Somerset Street in downtown Ottawa.

  • We do accept Legal Aid Ontario certificates at this time, based on availability.

  • Yes, everyone at our firm who provides legal coaching is a family law lawyer. That said, if you retain us for coaching services or limited scope services, we are not “your lawyer” to the other party or to the court, but rather we provide you with legal assistance and guidance in the background to help you in representing yourself.
